Class 2 School Closure Work 23.03.20

Hello Class 2,

This is your new Home Learning page which we will use whilst we are not at school.

I will add the new learning timetable on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning. Some of your work can be completed online and other work you can either print it off or complete it in your Home Learning Book. The answers are available for your English and maths work so get your parents to check your answers.

I have also added these documents to Google Classroom, if you'd prefer to do it online and turn it in for me to mark.

Measure Perimeter Y3 Watch video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-_ORANElu8&safe=active Work through the PowerPoint:  Complete the fluency, problem solving and reasoning questions. Remember to explain and justify your answers. The answers are available below,  so you can check how you’ve got on.	Reading: Read the Battle of Hastings Text Answer the Vocabulary questions Get your parents to check your answers.	History and Art: Investigating the Bayeux Tapestry http://www.bayeuxtapestry.org.uk/bayeux22.htm Use the website above and then go  through the different scenes of the Bayeux tapestry. Write bullet points for each scene. Recreate/draw the Bayeux tapestry- and label each scene using your notes.

Before you write- what is your success criteria? Day 2- proof-read and edit your writing. Does it make sense? Howard’s Got Talent!

Whilst you are learning at home, we would like you to take this opportunity to develop a skill or talent. We would like each and every one of you to choose something you would like to develop, improve or learn.

This could include learning a language, perfecting a skill, like baking a Lemon drizzle Cake, improving your handwriting, completing a book collection, tying shoe laces and doing up buttons or even completing a Rubix Cube.

It is entirely up to you.

Remember to post an update, picture or video of your progress on Class Dojo.

When we return, we would like to share our new found skills with the rest of our school. Every child who shares their talent will receive a special certificate in Achievement Assembly.

We can’t wait to see what your new skills and talents are upon our return.
