Today the children have taken part in two workshops to show how we can make changes for a greener, fairer and wiser future. We thought about what happens to our waste, how we can make small changes for a better environment and even had a 360 degree virtual tour of the an Energy Recovery…

Yesterday we conducted some fieldwork which relates to our Geography topic. Children created a tally to show the volume of traffic coming into Elford as well as the types of transport. We then used this data to create a bar graph. 

This week we started our final art topic of the year. We are exploring our painting skills. The first lesson focused on brush strokes. We explored how different sized brushes could be used in different ways to create different effects. Lots of fun and learning!

Class 2 have started their final topic of the year in Science. They have thought about whether things are living, not living or never been alive. They learnt the mnemonic Mrs Nerg to help them check if things were alive. Great investigating everyone! 

 

We have had a fabulous time in Class 1 this week. We have kick started our new topic of ‘Our favourite authors’ by reading The Gruffalo. We have had lots of fun doing activities linked to the book, our favourite being ‘Gruffalo Crumble’. The children had lots of fun with Ms Carter making Gruffalo…
