Chutney making at The Howard
With the help of our wonderful PTA volunteers, we have had a lovely afternoon chutney making with the tomatoes we grew over the summer. All children participated in house groups and created some delicious chutneys that will be available soon.
Creepy Crawly Classification
This afternoon we completed a mini beast hunt in forest school.
We then used classification keys to find out their names and whether they were a vertebrate or an invertebrate.
Phunky Foods Super Surveys
Phunky Foods have been working with Helen today carrying out surveys on healthy snacks.
We shared ideas for healthy snacks and discussed which snacks would be good choices.

International Day of European Languages
Today we have celebrated International European Day of Languages.
Each group has discovered how to say hello in a different language. Why don’t you ask us to share our new language with you today.
The Howard Map Makers

What makes a balanced diet?
Class 2 have been looking at how to eat healthily in PSHE. They have looked how the traffic lights on food packaging helps us to make informed decisions about some of the food we may chose to eat. They have also explored and created their own Eatwell Plates. Well done, class 2.

Class 3 Orienreering
The rain couldn’t deter class 3 from practicing their orienteering skills this week. The children had to use their map reading skills to complete a course. At each marker there was a number which they had to remember and add to another 7 marker numbers. It took a great deal of team work to come…
