Reception have had a super week exploring 2D shapes. They have identified the number of sides of common 2D shapes, explored shapes that have been rotated and applied their knowledge to make tangram pictures. Fabulous work!

We are Stickman ready!
Our last two science lessons of this half term are all about ‘Stickman’. The children have made their own stick people and dressed them in some wonderful outfits.

Exploring numbers to 20 and beyond
Our Reception children have started their new maths topic this week - To 20 and beyond. They have had lots of fun exploring how to make different numbers using a variety of maths equipment. Great work everyone!

What is an ordinal number?
Year one have had great time learning about ordinal numbers. They enjoyed having racing and ordering each other by their finishing positions. We then brought the learning back inside and completed our White Rose fluency tasks and reasoning challenges. Great work year 1!

Reception investigate materials
The children had a wonderful science lesson learning all about the different materials that could be used to make a boat that floats on water. The experimented with different types of materials to discover which would be the best for their boats. Great work Reception!
