Class 3 Science

Class 3 have been taking part in some hands on science recently. Firstly, in our materials topic, we wanted to find out if we could inflate a balloon without blowing into it.  With the help of bicarbonate soda and vinegar we found we could. When the two substances were mixed we found that carbon dioxide was created which would inflate our balloon for us!  Meanwhile, as we started our topic on forces, we explored the difference between weight and mass.  We used our outside area to find objects that we could weigh using a Newton meter.  Did you know that we measure weight in Newtons (N).
