A visit to the Samuel Johnson birthplace museum

We had a fantastic morning at the Samuel Johnson birthplace museum. The children explored the artefacts on show and were able to try on Georgian clothes and use the copy of Samuel’s first dictionary to discover Georgian words. We learnt about his early life - school was very different then, and all about his dads work as a bookmaker.
