We have had lots of fun in forest school this half term. We have spotted the new shoots of wild garlic growing near our fire circle and thought about how we can sustain the growth, so the children decided to move our fire circle to a new location. We continued our theme of building dens and fairy dens which the children work really hard to improve on the designs each week. We thought about how to assess the risks when climbing trees and then the children had a go themselves, facing theirs fears and conquering the heights! We used the potato peelers to carve wands and the children really enjoyed this therapeutic activity. We used a session to maintain our area and cut back some of the overgrown bushes.
