Since returning to school in March it has been wonderful to get back outside and the children have really embraced the opportunity to continue with our Forest School sessions. This was our first visit this year so we did a Spring I.D hunt, we found Bluebells, Daffodils, Wild Cherry and Crab Apple blossom, Silver Birch and Hazel catkins and much more. Class 3 learnt to tie a Reef Knot and a Figure of Eight Knot, they did really well and some were able to help others in the group who were not able to master the skill quite as quickly. The Fairy Den activity has really captured the imagination of the children and so much thought has gone into making their dens. Of course we always finish with a drink and a snack round the fire circle and a chance to reflect on our session. We are looking forward to continuing with Forest School in the summer term and finding out where our learning journey takes us.
