Which materials are opaque and which materials are transparent?
Key stage 1 have explored the meanings of opaque and transparent. They were set a challenge from NASA to find the best material for curtains to block out the sun on their next space mission. What fun we had exploring this question!
Shapes, shapes, shapes!
Reception have had a super week exploring 2D shapes. They have identified the number of sides of common 2D shapes, explored shapes that have been rotated and applied their knowledge to make tangram pictures. Fabulous work!
Cookery Club Week 3
Another fantastic week in cookery club! This week we made flapjacks. We each got to add our own toppings, there were some very fantastic creations. Our older club members are such fantastic role models and every week aid the younger children in learning new skills! What a fab group!
Comparative testing in Science
This week I’m science, we investigated conditions needed for plant growth. We then removed one condition from each plant to see what will happen. We will keep you posted with the results.

Cookery Club Week 2

Which materials float and which materials sink?

Spelling Bee Heat Winners
