This week in Class 1 we have kick started our ‘Around the World’ topic by flying to Australia (imaginatively). We had lots of fun pretending to pack our suitcases, travelled to the airport and board a plane. We watched a video which showed us the view from an aeroplane landing in Sydney. We discussed the different landmarks you can see including the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. We have also learned about the animals in Australia and what the environment is like, by talking about the ‘Outback’. 
 

Mr Wynn came into Class 1 and spoke to us about his time in Australia. He brought in some different artefacts and pictures to show the children. They thoroughly enjoyed listening to Mr Wynn share his experiences.
