The children have thoroughly enjoyed listening to our new text this morning. They thought of some wonderful words to describe how each of Duncan’s crayons were feeling. Well done Year 1!

Class 2 have been working hard learning about seasonal British fruit, vegetables and meat. They made stuffed peppers and meatballs. Great skills learnt everyone!

We were extremely lucky to take part in a workshop with professional artist and animator Leo Wright. The children have been very busy in Forest this week. They have worked hard in the poly tunnel laying the cardboard and bark for the floor, watering our lovely new willow arch, and tending the beds. What a wonderful morning we have had for our Mother’s Day High Tea. The children had worked so hard to prepare the scones and the Year 6 children were fabulous hosts. We hope you all enjoyed spending the morning with us, we certainly did.

This week in science we have been exploring how to keep our teeth healthy. We used eggs as a replacement for our teeth and have placed them in different drinks, we are going to check in on them next week.

We then explored the history of toothpaste and even made our own.

Year 1 have worked hard this week exploring length and height. They have used mathematical vocabulary when exploring this concept such as longer, shorter, taller, smaller and centimetres. They have compared lengths, measured using objects and measured using centimetres. Great work…
