Class 1 have thoroughly enjoyed learning all about Volcanoes this week. They have completed lots of activities in the classroom linked to volcanoes including, crafting, painting, drawing and building. During our Literacy sessions we have used the information book, ‘Volcanoes and Earthquakes’ to find out about what happens during a volcanic eruption. We have also used the internet to find out about famous Volcanoes including Mount Vesuvius, Mount St Helen’s and Mount Etna (which we learned had started erupting on the 30th June and was still erupting on Monday!).
Today we did a couple of science experiments to show the pressure and release that happens in a volcanic eruption. We had lots of fun! Well done for a fantastic 3 days Class 1.
