Budding architects
Class 2 have started their final art topic of the year - architecture. They have made mood boards combining their go rowing computing skills with their art skills and today they have used their mathematical knowledge of 3D shapes to help them draw 3D building outlines.

Recycling seaside sculptures
Class 2 have had great fun creating sea creatures from recycled materials. They applied their learning to create their final sculptures after planning them very carefully. Well done class 2!

Building 9 & 10
Reception have extended their number knowledge by investigating 9 & 10. They went on a number hunt, sorted numbers, built numbers and have started to look at 1 more and 1 less. Great work.
Sustainable fishing
Class 2 have learnt about the importance of fishing sustainably. They have looked at the harm overfishing can do to the environment and created posters to promote fish free Fridays.
They have also made sandwiches using fish products that were sustainable sourced.
Exploring length and height
Year 1 have worked hard this week exploring length and height. They have used mathematical vocabulary when exploring this concept such as longer, shorter, taller, smaller and centimetres. They have compared lengths, measured using objects and measured using centimetres. Great work…
The Howard had a little lamb!
Today we were lucky enough to have a one week old lamb visit us. The children fed the lamb her milk, stroked her curly woolly coat and asked great questions. Thank you so much to Mrs Britland for arranging to bring her in. What a Friday afternoon treat!
Outdoor learning fun!
The sun is out and so are Reception. Lots of fun and learning in our wonderful outdoor area.
Seasonal food fun!
Class 2 have started their final DT unit of the year today with a little bit of baking! They will be exploring seasonal food and taking part in making many delicious baking tasks along the way. What an exciting unit!
Counting in tens
Year one had great fun starting their maths learning with a counting song and dance. They then used this to help them count in tens and ones with numbers up to 50! Very impressive. Well done year 1!
Spring is here!
Class 1 have enjoyed the spring weather today with lots of outdoor learning through play. They have also enjoyed learning about farms and farm animals.
