This term we have been studying a text called The Shadow Cage by Phillipa Pierce. It is a suspense story and in our English lessons we have been looking at what makes a story really hook a reader. We then planned our stories using the boxing up method and a storyboard. We are really proud of our work. We have tried really hard to engage the reader by using a range of devices including short sentences and detail descriptions.
