Reading at home

At the Howard, we place reading as one of the most important skills for life and future learning. You can help your child by encouraging them to read at home through learning, practicing, experiencing and building knowledge. Above all, reading for pleasure is key. Happy Reading!

Welcome Back

How amazing to have all the children and staff return to The Howard! We have a school full of happy faces. Behaviour has been impeccable and the playtimes have been a pleasure to supervise- Long may this continue!

Return to School-story

Although we are all excited about returning to school on Monday, your child may be feeling a little anxious or worried. Please share this book with your child and discuss that these feeling are normal. Try to discuss any anxieties they may have. We will be doing everything we can to help our children settle back into the routines of school life, starting with snack and chat sessions.
