Welcome to The Howard Primary School
The Howard Primary school is a thriving, friendly and happy school serving the beautiful village of Elford and the surrounding areas of Tamworth. We make the most of our beautiful local area to allow our children every opportunity to flourish and grow. We feel very lucky to educate in such a wonderful, picturesque village.
The school building dates back to 1856 when Lady Mary Howard provided the funds for a free school in Elford. The building has been developed over the years and is a wonderful place to learn. The school makes the most of its extensive grounds and they are used to enhance all areas of the curriculum.
Our school curriculum has been devised in conjunction with our sister schools and offers our children a broad and balanced education which is real and relevant to life in the 21st Century. Opportunities for enriching our children's learning is carefully planned to ensure that there is a love of learning and enables every child to flourish in an ever-changing world. We have worked hard to create a curriculum that will have an impact on our children not just in terms of their attainment but as individuals and citizens of the future. This is built around our over-arching Curriculum intent to help our children become exceptional learners.
